Reading Challenge 2023

6 books
20 books

My goal last year has been aspirational, even with only 20 books. I ended up not making it, and that's fine. The year managed to make that goal even more aspirational as I've experienced way too many changes in my life to actually have time and energy to sit down and read. To be clear, I did read a lot, but usually short formats like articles, and short stories. For more context about my last year aspirations, read my Reading Challenge 2022

Here I'm starting fresh again. It's a good feeling. I started some books, but I don't necessarily feel the need to continue. I'd rather take up new books, and fail this challenge rather than force myself to read something that I'm not enjoying. I'm not sure if I'll be able to read 20 books this year, but I'll try my best.

I'd like to read, again, a lot of fiction. I've been reading a lot of non-fiction lately, and I'd like to balance that out. Fiction books give me something that I don't get otherwise. The sense of embracing imagination, feeling like I'm in another world and that world seems as important as reality itself.

With that, let's get to it, and read some books!
